Funding Opportunity: Centre for Aging + Brain Health Innovation Spark Program

The Spark program supports the development and testing of innovative products and practices informed by the experience of point-of-care staff working with older adults.  Host Organizations of successful applicants will receive up-to $50,000 (CAD) to support these projects advance from an early stage solution with promising scalability to proof-of-concept or prototype. In total, up to $2.5 million is available across all projects.

Themes include:

  • Aging in place
  • Caregiver support
  • Care coordination and navigation
  • Cognitive health
  • Aging Indigenous and rural populations

 

The Spark Program will provide funding for selected projects of up to a maximum of $50,000 (CAD) for a 6 to 12-month period.  Funding will flow to the applicant’s host organization, who will then assign accountability for milestone reporting and expenditures against the budget recipient. Successful applicants will be responsible for reporting the project outcomes and key performance indicators to CABHI. The Spark Program is open to point-of-care and service staff associated with healthcare delivery or service provider organizations in Canada, and/or a member of the Seniors’ Quality Leap Initiative (SQLI).
